Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.
Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 7 amβ7 pm. It is closed on Monday. Our experience hosting our golf outing at the Club at Tartan Fields was outstanding. The planning process was well organized, and Samantha was a great communicator throughout the entire event preparation process. She was on site early to ensure everything was set up properly and checked in with us throughout the day to make sure we had everything we needed. Her attention to detail and great customer service helped make our outing a success. We appreciate all of her had work and forward to working with her again next year.

We had the best experience with Tartan Fields for our wedding! My husband and I are both in the golf industry and this team should be so proud of the work they do. Marybeth was incredible to work with from start to finish. She really made sure our vision was brought to life and Iβm so thankful for her! She was so cheerful and always so positive. The food was absolutely incredible and every single person at the club always made sure we were taken care of. Thank you for making our wedding day the perfect day!

A Challenging Golf Course and with the limited budget, the Superintendent does a great job. The club is overplayed and under maintained. The clubhouse gym is nice and is well managed. The F&B staff are wonderful people who are underpaid creating limitations of food and service quality. Ownership (owned by a golf course management company Arcis) continually over promises critical capital improvements and under delivers. Pool staff is underpaid/understaffed and there are times its not open due to lack of staff - other county clubs in the area remain open. Dining Service is well below average as the understaffed/under paid team cannot manage both catering events and daily lunch/dinner offering - very poor experiences.

The layout of the golf course is amazing with a good golf staff and a few others who try their best across the club. Unfortunately, since the club is corporate owned by a company out of Texas (Arcis), the level of service, quality, and attention to member experience is lacking. The cart paths are worse than any public course you will play, the food/drink is VERY expensive ($17 for an old fashioned for example). General Managers change OFTEN, pool is closed sometimes due to lack of staff, and service is hot and cold (mostly cold). I could share more, but you get the point. If you tour the course, pay special attention to the cart paths. Dues have been raised twice with little/to remedy. Details matter. Right now, the club is just a number to corporate. The potential is there and we hope it will be addressed.

Kendra and her team are absolute professionals!! They made our wedding day run so smoothly! I have heard nothing but compliments from our guests on how amazing the food was, how kind and attentive the staff were and how beautiful the reception location was. Kendra worked with all of our vendors to ensure that on my wedding day all I had to do was enjoy myself and my guests. So many of our guests said that it was the most fun wedding that they had ever been to. And that the food was the best they had ever had at a wedding. I would recommend Tartan Fields to anyone planning a wedding or special event.
